Turlington 1317 has 2 computers for walk-in use.
There is also a large-screen monitor with a computer and Blu-Ray player, for group activities. It can be used as an instructor station for small classes.
A CRT TV serves for playing VHS tapes or laserdisks.
There is a collection of foreign-language videos for teaching or viewing in the lab. These include Arabic, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish theatrical films chosen in collaboration with the faculty. Many of them are captioned in the original language and are thus especially appropriate for language study.
Space is available for conversation sessions, collaborative work, or quiet study.
